It’s not that bad. I just need to fabricate both corners after all the bisquit is removed. :)

Saying that the three other spare doors are a lot better and only needs some paint. This door was the best one so I decided to keep it and fix it up.

Timing belt? Absolutely not! I don’t have a proper garage space, not really the skills and it would take too much time. I got a fair price so it’s ok!

I must admit... it looks pretty cool with no badge in the front!

The lack of badge gives it a certain anonymity to keep people guessing!

Good work on the door! Once you finish the welding, grind it back and put a skim of filler over with a lick of black paint, nobody would ever know! :D

But I have a new badge! 8)

You mean like this? (Except the black paint...) Not finished yet but getting there. Metal, filler and paint is my stuff. Timing belts are for others to fix.

I thought you had a new badge ready to fit. Looks kind of mean and aggressive without it though.

That's the one, i'm often annoyed with myself as i know the process etc but can't always seem to transfer the thoughts into the correct action and usualy mess it up!

Dave

Black isn’t the easiest paint to get really good and doing a door while it’s hanging with a rattle can really sucks. But it’s below the trim so not as easily spotted by people looking. The other three doors are off the car so would be a bit easier to get better.

The bonnet looks like it’s gotten something contagious.

I do have all the equipment for using a proper spray gun but not sure it’s worth the hazzle.

You've turned it into a Dalmatian! :P

Nice job on the door, for what it's worth i'd be inclined to remove the trim from the arch and spray the arch and the complete bottom part of the door under the trim and call it good. When yuo refitthe trim, the difference will be more difficult to see. That said, i can't see any difference now! :D

In other news, i found some very useful photos and a certain set of switches today........ :D
Cheers,
Dave

I did paint the full panel under the trim putting the line where the trim sits. Once it’s back it’s very hard to tell.

Actually it’s very dirty in the pic from dust after sanding the filler so it looks better now when cleaned up. Over all it’s very dusty now so need a proper clean!

That's why it looks good already then!

I'll organise the photos and find the rest of the information to fit the steering wheel remote. :D

Good news on the timing belt Henrik - does it still go alright? They didn't use the wrong sort of coolant?

Nice roof rack but not sure i'd ever use one, prefer to have a trailer. :D

Yes, everything is excellent. It pulls very strong from 1800rpm and I’m actually amazed of the difference between the C27 and the K24 in my Accord. Ok that’s only a straight four, but it’s pretty big still with 2.4l and 190hp. The Rover would leave it in the dust!

I’ll probably change plugs pretty soon, and maybe I’ll be looking at some new leads too.

I’ve managed to find second hand heater controls from a guy in the US. Mine isn’t even working now, pushing the inside slider doesnt affect fan speed like it did earlier. The buttons for controlling the air stream don’t stay in when pressed. So it’s junk.
