Re: Manalishis Mk 1a 827 Vitesse (manual)
I'm a pretty bog-standard 6ft, tbh.
Longish arms, average legs. My biggest issue is that over long-distances, leather contributes to back-pain in a way that cloth seats don't! It's the point about grip - too much sliding around in luxurious leather seats.
The Vitesse seats were the perfect match of style and comfort, grippy for fast driving on country roads and supportive over long distance cruising. Saab 95 seats (cloth) are probably the most comfortable seats I've ever sat in for long distance motorway slogs.

Ah, the Saab 95 - one of the most uncomfortable cars i've ever driven, especially on a long distance!
I think it's down to the individual and their shape that makes a big difference.

Still in between major surgery so made a few small things with the pliers and scalpell.
The front wheels have had a terrible metallic hiss to them. I really didn’t bother but after work today I ripped the front pads off to inspect. And yes as I suspected the small stainless Piece between pads and caliper was leaning on the disc. So removing, bending it back some and refitting did the trick. Now the Vitesse is quiet again.
Or no, really it isn’t. I was to pick up the wife today at the train station and I misunderstood so parked on the wrong side of the tracks. It’s a good 5min drive to get there and the missus smiled and said that she could here me on the wrong side, starting up and getting off.
Oh that car sound sooooo good!

The C27 has a very distinctive note that carries, even when it's quiet, not surprised your missus could hear you Henrik!
I expect you gave it a bit more welly through frustration at going to the wrong side making it even more distinctive.

Oh and I haven’t fitted my extra silencer I got yet so it’s still pretty noisy, as it’s no cat with a ”cat-system”. Not sure I want to fit it either!

I prefer that slightly sporty rasp that a cat system gives with no cat. It also lets the engine do what it should!

Wheel bearing in the mail.
But a few days ago I received my Package with a set of new stalks and this evening I managed to fit them. And hey! Now my lights work as they should! So happy boy!!

Re: Manalishis Mk 1a 827 Vitesse (manual)
Thanks!
Well not new but ”new”. Got them from one of the Facebook folks Daniel Joseph Bryan, a really nice guy with a large number of spares and cars. I’ve invited him here too, I hope he finds his way.
Next on the list is to fiddle some with the dash lights. They died when I fitted the new heater blower control. So need to see what’s going on there.

Check your fuses Henrik, can't remember which one but there's a separate one for the dash lights if memory serves. Might just be dirty spades on the fuse so give each fuse you check a clean on the blades with some emery tape or similar.

Re: Manalishis Mk 1a 827 Vitesse (manual)
Hopefully just a dead battery unable to take charge. I'll pop out soon with a spare battery I have which is new and fully charged and see if it works.
The plan was to take the car about 25km yesterday, the first trip for the season. So charged the battery and It started straight away with a nice spin on the starter. So off we went until it suddenly died about 20km from home in a pretty bad spot. We had to tow it to a nearby petrol station and left it there over night.
Nice training for the son though as he was driving, it's his second break down, the first being losing the clutch in a junction.
I have some fear it might be worse as it was completely dead and the hazard only worked on one side unless putting the indicator stalk on right turn. Hopefully not a deeper electrical fault. Time will tell.
