Pics are always useful but the good thing with the various electrical connectors is that it's very difficult to get any wrong due to size, shape and keyways in the pugs.

I have a similar tale to your M5 screws. Today i fitted a rear ARB to the Volvo and intended while i was under the car to change the diff oil but i couldn't find the funnel i needed to be able to refill it from inside the car through the fuel pump/sender access plate that also serves the diff.
I found the funnel - when i was putting everything away as it started raining heavily just as i put the last wheel nut on!
Cheers,
Dave

I think all the plugs are different Dave so impossible to mix.

I just slabbed the cluster in plus light and wiper stalks and, ’hey presto’ it works! :D

Unfortunately its too much light out to see if all of the bulbs are working so not putting it in definately until this evening.

Also routed a wire from my extra switch to see if your idea Dave on the climat switch pack backlight is working. If it does you are my true hero! ;)

Going back together again...

I hope it all goes back together okay; If I had taken the dash and various connectors, screws and trim apart, I would have to label things. Because in all probability I would forget :o
Haha Charles, it seems I have some screws left I cant place! :D

More good progress Henrik! I'm interested to know the outcome of the lighting switch for the Climate Pack.

One of the LEDs for the display on my climate pack has developed a problem and will now only work if i drive with the sidelights on!
Thankfully because it's brighter than the bulbs it replaced, it's still visible except in bright sunlight, even with the sidelights on.
Cheers,
Dave

I had a small stepback as the loom for the climate pack had ”disappeared”. :D It was stuck under the dash so I had to remove the screws again and lift it to be able to push the loom through the correct opening.

Its hard to tell in the bright daylight but I wonder if the climate pack lighting works! The buttons and temp gauge are ok, but I cant see any other lights. Hmmmmm.

Not yet cut the wire via the switch so no answer there Dave.

Yes it works!! The switch on the black/red wire does the trick! Now I can see the temperature on the climate pack as I drive in daylight with headlights switched on. And in the evening I just press the button and it dims. Excellent!

Centre console and seats are next as it's easier to work after that. Tonight I'll check if the dash lights work, and the climate pack light up too, then the cluster and panel gets back. That is a bit tricky as I have a boost controller mounted in the hole where the cruise and alarm would be and the controller and wiring fowls the air vent induct somewhat. Then the steering wheel. I still need to get a new airbag (from the spare car) as the last one was destroyed as I took it off.

We have a holiday here so free from work for 3 days so expecting everything to be up and running (except airbag) in a day or two.

IT's all coming together at a good pace then! With the boost controller, how did you manage to squeeze it in when you first did it? Probably easiest to do the same again?
Cheers,
Dave

Just a matter of fiddly-fiddly-fiddly. :) It's one of these, so quite slim but the multiplug and loom + vacuumhose takes some place. And beside that I have the relay for the airbag installed in the same cavity.

Thanks Charles! Yes Im quite glad it all is going so well.

The thing is a boost controller yes, provided by Grant Baker. It is connected into a solenoid via electric circuit in the engine bay, and with a small vacuum hose from the plenum. The controller has 6 presets and as it is now I have them set from actuator pressure (~0.4 bar)to 0.9 bar. It varies some due to outdoor temperature. A press of a button takes me in stages from 150bhp to the region of 220.

The controller is in the spot where the alarm LED and Cruise control button would be, just above the air vent grid by the drivers door. And now it has company of a switch to dim or brighten the climate control! Thanks to Genious Dave!

After taking my spare climate pack apart I can see that the large bulb with orange rubber tip is the one thats blown. Unfortunately the extra bulb is blown too.

Not sure what to do next. I cant find them on Rimmers as Im not even sure what Im looking for. I dont mind making a special solution soldering in a different bulb, but I dont want Leds and it has to fit in the plastic bulb holder. Is this even doable?

I presume they are 12v bulbs.
