Re: Bought this today - Pic heavy AKA The Trailer
Time for an update.
Very little has been done to the trailer since the roof tile hit it. In the last few weeks with planning to go camping in Devon I decided to start looking into how bad the roof was. Unfortunately while not terminal it made more mess than I'd realised. Because the roof was covered in filler due to the sunroof being plated it's crazed all the paint on the roof.
After looking further I can also see the usual spot where the sunroof hole was is now starting to rust/rot. Along with the paint suffering on the whole trailer in general it became clear a decision was needed. It looked too scruffy to use as it is. I realised that a full strip down wasn't worth it as I think it would show up other nasty bits.
I also don't want to just scrap it, so I've decided to plaster it in stickers and whatever else I can find to cover up the ropey paint and let it live on a bit longer.
Not everyone's cup of tea I'm sure but better than just binning it I reckon?
The roof has a sheet of vinyl wrap on it to hide up the worst bits and keep it waterproof. All I've started on the rest so far is the rear pillar. It's a sticker bomb effect which I actually think looks OK? I'm working on the rest at the minute.
On a side note I've also wired up the reverse lights on my car and all the trailers I have in use so I'm keen to try them soon.

Really pleased you've given it a reprieve Chris. Looks fine and does the job.

I think it looks really cool with an 07 plate on it. It makes the car seem modern enough that the styling seems quite current.

It's a shame you can't fit a "newer" registration to your car really, there's a lot of 800s around that would still easily pass as a newer car, particularly to those that hadn't seen them before.
