My Vitesse Coupe

Hi All
These are the few pictures I have of my much loved but extremely fragile Vitesse Coupe. I sold it on about 2 years ago to a friend, who used it until the end of it's tax and test and has since left it to rot on his driveway. I keep resisting the urge to get it back off him, as it's had a lot of work done on it and could probably be a good car if it's was put through the MOT.

Here it is having dumped all it's PAS fluid onto the road


And the rather striking red piped light stone beige interior

And on a private road, just before a bend forced me to give up my land speed record attempt.



Considering it was a cheap car when I bought it, and I spent more than the original cost on repairs am I crazy for wanting it back??

That red beast now belongs to my neighbour, who is a sensitive soul when it comes to cars. Starting it for the first time in 2 years was achieved by turning it over until it caught and then revving the hell out of it until it settled down. It was immediately taken for a full blast run over the mountain.

He's offered me a go of it, and there is nothing I like more than a (relatively) powerful plastic box with wonky stoppers and 15 year old tyres - I'll let you know if I survive.

That beast is a marina coupe, complete with some sort of MG alloys (MG-F I think). It's actually very clean, and it makes me smile every time I see it around.

I like late model Marinas - an ex-girlfriend of mine had a 1.3 that was quite a decent car. Those last ones with the auxilliary lights in the grille look good.
