have finally fitted the new side bumper mounts, made them up from scratch, have come out very nice if I do say so myself.. the rear bumper sits very straight, the front still sits low on the front below the lights but the side is nice, they are all held very firm as well, very pleased with the result, just the drivers side front one to finish, I initially made up 2 different thickness ones the thicker of the 2 was the one I went with, but used the thin one on the drivers side so just have to finish making that one and fit it.. if anyone want a pic or measurements let me know and i'll measure the last one when its done.. regards ricky

You probably know this bit already Rick but in case you don't, the two bolts each side under the headlamp that secure the crash bar to the chassis have adjustment on them, up/down and also shims to move the bumper in and out.
You should be able to adjust the height of the bumper so it sits right under the lights, my Coupé front bumper is sitting a little high at the moment but not obviously, just haven't got round to adjusting it yet. :D
Cheers,
Dave

they are already at the max... I jacked it up on the bumper iron to try and raise it, it was damaged years ago in a slight rta... I ran up the back of someone and it bent it down.. so need to strip it all and start again.. regards ricky

If it's the actual crash bar that's bent, i've got one going spare, the plastic bumper itself isn't great but the crash bar is pretty good. :D

Dave

Sounds like the crash bar mounting boxes. Turn the crash bar over, or the crash boxes?

I have been a busy boy today, the mot is due next week, so work needs to be done.. the o/s front caliper needs freeing off, have fitted the front seats, had to change the whole frame on the drivers seat, the memory seats have different motors, they appear to have sensors built into them, makes sense really so they know where they are.. the n/s/f the heated seats didn't work so have refitted the old seat.. jan likes her ass to be warm.. lol.. have refitted the correct bumper iron, and lifted the bumper as high as it will go.. just the caliper to refit and new pads, then the mot next week.. regards ricky

caliper stripped and cleaned, slides freed off and cleaned and greased, new pads on the front, it passed the mot, rear tyres advised as they are near 2mm and slight play in the n/s top ball joint I also noted that the cover is perished quite badly as well on the same ball joint so have that to do.. just need to polish the car for POL see you all there.. regards ricky

in the workshop today, tyre pressures, oil and water levels, oh I nearly forgot had the aircon regassed and found the leaks that appear to be very slow draining the system in 6-8 weeks (hopefully anyway) it's like sitting in a fridge.. is way cooler than the Peugeot, in more ways than one lol... regards ricky
