Nice one Kev, much appreciated!! Much of my ability to get there depends on the benefits agency as i'm off work, long term sick due to an ankle problem that means i can't walk very far, and they owe me some serious money at the moment!! It's holding up the MOT and tax as you may have guessed from my sig!!
Soon as i'm mobile though i'll let you know here or via PM and see you sometime soon!!

thanks to swine flu, a mechanical breakdown, a traffic jam, a wedding, a p5 rally, and three holidays, the turnout was not massive this month.
still, double sd1 owner david cowie made it with his very nice 1977 2200TC, in sd1 pendelican white. we were well overdue for a p6.

the next one is september 5th, 2pm. all welcome

Good job it wasn't today!! Got 4 white plastic patio chairs and a matching table in there!! That said, we could have used them for a picnic.........
Beginning to think i have a dormant Womble gene that's waking up, keep finding stuff other people think is junk and making use of it, lol!! Oh, by the way, it's called freecycle.org and there's groups all over the world, amazing what you find on there for free and also what you can get rid of that is no longer any use to you!! Really think i should look for a cheap van/estate though instead of using my nice Sterling as a pantechnicon!!

Looks like a good turn out and getting better. Thinking of one in the South East (Surrey, Kent and SE London). Wonder what the response would be

One man's rubbish etc has provided me so far with a bead breaker made from a metal framed chair, a dead trolley jack, a scaffold pole and a section cut out of an old steel wheel! I now have the bits to build a powered tyre changer and parts washer (washing machine bits) plus a few other useful things (tool cabinet and tyre inflation compressor = old fridge, already done!).
Go for it for another regional meet!! Can only help when we eventually get together as a total club i would think!! The people who live on the borders of the regions could attend neighbouring meets and introduce everyone!! Lol!! Seriously though it has to be worth a go!!
