Hi, here are a few photos that I took on Sunday to add to your collection. My name is Sally and I organise the events for the SD1 Club.

I am afraid I don't own an 800 though I quite fancy a Coupe. I drive this...... (The blue one)

It was a fantastic turn out for us and great to see the Rover 800's aswell. I think at least 4 turned up instead of broken down or off road SD1s!

If you organise any more events or want to come along to SD1 events please contact me, with SD1 numbers dwindling rapidly it adds interest and makes it all more worthwhile.

They obviously thought it was a damn good idea of yours, take it as a compliment! I'm sure they wouldn't park on grass for long, you could almost hear the Tin worm chuckling to himself....

They didn't look to be dwindling on Sunday.

I think it'd be good to get together like that.

Could you give us an idea of what you have planned in the future please.

I can tell you now that we hope to hold our National day for 2010 within the BL/BMC rally at Peterborough. That is always a good show for Rovers of all ages, in fact there was a tremendous turn out of Rover 75's there this year. Nothing else has been decided for 2010, it will be up for discussion at our next committee meeting in a few weeks time but I will keep you posted.

It has long been said that we should be building good relations with other clubs as all classic car clubs' memberships have fallen, though the SD1 membership has remained fairly stable over the past few years. This is something I am very keen on.

We will be having a stand at the NEC in November so if any of you are there please come and say "hello".

Good stuff, we're very small in terms of organisation really. We don't have a committee or anything like that.

So any cheating we can do to organise an event is very welcome.

Please feel free to keep us informed from time to time, I'll try and keep an eye out on your site as well. I registered on there a while back when I was thinking of getting an SD1 myself.
