First ever (?) Rover 800 Coupe meeting in Sweden

I am currently in contact with a guy in Gothenburg that owns a 820 vitesse coupe just like mine (180bhp) Tomorrow we will meet south of Stockholm as he is currently here.
I hope to be able to introduce him to this great forum and get some pics of the Great Gathering!

Yes we did meet up, about were I work as a teacher in one of the Stockholm "ghettos"...

Anders is a very nice guy, a member of the Swedish Rover Club (I'm not yet) and he also drives a P6 and a Streetwise.

Anders car is ch.no 161xxx and mine is 163xxx both being 1993 Italian sold 180 bhp vitesse. Same equipment. Mine is obviously sexier with 17s and smoked rear lights and I think he did agree on that.

Both cars have small dents here and there but nothing too bad. My paint might be a bit better with very little spraying done over the years but both cars are absolutely ok. No rust! I think his is in better shape regarding the engine though. He had the head gasket done quite recently and mine seeps some oil still. His interior looks better but we thought that might be because his interior is grey (obviously) and that the dirt is less visible in the cracks.

We chatted for about an hour, and I will try to drag him here aswell as the Swedish Rover Club however nice lacks the expertise found here!

Eventually we were interupted by a guy with very redish eyes trying to sell us som Japanese knives, so we decided to part while we were still intact.

Well I think that petrol is expensive in Sweden as in UK.

Actually I am planning a trip to the UK next year with my wife and kids, and we have discussed taking the Rover, but it's a looong drive for me and my gearbox feels shaky. But it is on the drawing board!

Well my wife wants to go to the alps next year but my brother in law and I are trying to go to the NEC every year and we will go to NEC this year!

If the gearbox is shaky it´s still possible to go by boat from Gothenburg to Immingham . By boat it should perhaps make the trip on road a little shorter!
