I saw this a few months ago and again last Friday in Pershore, Worcestershire. I think it's pretty awful with it's blacked out rear windows, tow bar and lurid paint...It's a 1997 2 litre, btw. I didn't dare get close to find out if it was manual or auto in case I caught anything

Blacked out windows, not something I'd do but I would put a dark smoke colour which I did on my black Montego.
I believe the colour is Kinversand and I've only ever seen it on the 620 ti.

Its a 2.0 litre manual painted in what looks like Volcano, which as far as I'm aware was a 600 or MGF colour only. Perhaps the original buyer asked nicely at the dealership or, as is clear, its been played with.

Have seen worse, I thought you meant 1970's BL orange - now that would be unique!

I know this car. It hangs out in Redditch. Owned by an elderly gentleman. I had seen the car a couple of times but brief got to speak to the owner. The car originally was a Rover management vehicle. The manager worked in the Design studio. According to the owner it has one or two " special bits" on it. I understand that the paint job was original. If I remember correctly some of the lacquer was lifting in places. I believe it is a 2.0 NAS.
