Looks well cared for - it's a Norfolk (Norwich?) reg originally so maybe it's still in that area. I'll keep my eyes peeled for it!

I'd love a bog standard 820e fastback, so rare now

I hope if you get one you don't leave it parked on double yellows like that 825

It looks a bit like an industrial estate/private works car park so chances are the double yellows are for "guidance" only. Also he might have a blue badge sat on top of the dash which we can't see from the back? Or the front! There's something sat there though.................

Oh. That's bad news.
I've just read the comment and wondered why the D is relevant.

"D" is the chassis letter code to denote manual, right hand drive, pg2 gearbox.

Odd colour combo of Lynx Bronze and Champagne? would look so much better with a Gunmetal bottom half ALA Sterling NAS

I reckon it would look better Bronze all over. What was the owner thinking at the time?

I'm not so sure it is Champagne, looks more like White Gold to me.

Either way, it would look better either Anthracite/Gunmetal or the pale grey stonechip/primer type colour or probably the best options, silver under the waist or Lynx Bronze all over.

Its definitely Champagne. White Gold is lighter in colour, this has more of a Goldish hue to it.

Looking at the front bumper in the top picture it looks like Champagne but in the lower picture the doors look more gold - what do you think?

As the 825i was never available as duo tone (two tone), the paintwork has obviously been changed at some point. As for what colour it is...who knows? Who cares? It is probably not even a Rover colour. Also the inconsistencies of reproducing accurate colours onto film or computer screen always leaves "room for improvement".

Personally, I think it would look best in monotone Lynx.

Some nice 'uns there, Mo. E777, while not my cup of tea, is a helluva fine early Mk1 example. and H838 XFR, made my heart jump as I owned H908 XFR many years ago! Wonder if this one is still around?

I notice a couple of late Mk1 f/backs with prestige alloys, don't see too many wearing those (more often sloons), although of course my silver H reg f/back had them too...

Cheers Mark. I looked up H908XFR and sadly it didn't appear to make it beyond 2001. I think the later Mk1 Fastbacks did wear Mk1 Prestiges just as the Saloons did.
