Sitting on the pavement at a coffee house table earlier today nearly choked on my coffee when I looked up and there at the junction of Grays Inn Rd and High Holborn waiting at the lights was a very nice Mk1b 827Si Saloon in Atlantic Blue.
Didn't get to make eye contact with the driver, but she looked to be late 30's, maybe.
Anyway, jolly nice to see, and my only spot of any 800 in central London in the last 5 yrs or so, and my first Mk1 in about 10yrs, anywhere!

I think I know that car and have stopped her a couple of times, the last time onthe Embankment. It was her fathers car if its the same one.

Given the chance to look closer I might have come to that view, yes - I only got a passing glimpse. It had early Mk1 lattice wheels (the flat ones) whose centre caps looked to have lost of the paint. But on the whole I thought it reasonable, nothing special.
