Now if you had said 'Red' heading towards Cambridge from Sudbury, or even heading towards Sudbury from Camdridge ..... i'd have said it was me

Two years is a long time without seeing one but give it another couple of years you may need to double that time or even quadruple it.

Some people, especially the younger drivers have never seen one at all 8)
Almost without fail i get questions whenever i visit a new site and not only from the younger generation.

You work in construction ?

So do I.

And so do I, some people are always surprised to see it (Mk1 Vitesse 8) 26 years old in September 8) )
Yes I'm a quantity surveyor. I get similar odd looks when i turn up in my TF, get dressed up like Coco the Clown ready for a nuclear holocaust (the usual H&S requirements for a construction site these days) and wander on site. Some of the questions from the older guys are about the reliability given what they remember of the cars in days past but they are impressed that its used on a daily basis. Given that i work anywhere on the south coast up to the Cotswolds they're quite impressed that i don't have a Eurobox to get around in. The younger guys (some of whom look at the 827 as if i have just driven out of a museum, some them struggle to work out how old it is.... bless them) They ask all about it and usually end with 'So how does she go then??' I find it quite amusing really.
