Spotted on the outskirt of Leeds Centre

Post by Charles827si » Thu Oct 29, 2015 1:36 pm

Doing a few errands this morning, and was turning right when I noticed directly in front of me, there was a high fenced garage forecourt with a few classic cars inside, including a rare MK1 Golf GTI in grey, an old Toyota Celica and a dark blue Rover Sterling Coupe. I stopped by to have a look, and noticed a big dog, so I went around the side where there were two Sikh men with turbans working on an old Corsa. I asked if I could have a look at the car, but they warned me of the dog. The older guy said the Rover was a customers car awaiting repairs. I didn't ask if it was road worthy but the tax disk in the windscreen was out of date by a good 8 years. I think it could have been either a 2.0 or 2.5, I couldn't tell, but the car is a late model on a V reg. I actually remember when these were new on V reg. They become a bit cheaper when the 75 came out. The earliest pre production 75's were on an S reg. Alot of the early 75's are still going funnily enough, but I quite regularly see later 75 examples on a recovery truck, like other old Rovers. :(

This car is still languishing in the yard of this garage one year on.

It's an 825 according to DVLA.

Not been tested since 07 and on 50k.
