A selection of spotted stuff

I know, rather random - it was inevitable that someone would become the owner of one of your spots sooner or later, I would never have thought it'd be a spot from over two years ago though!

I'll explain more about the car in it's own thread (save hijacking this one any more), but I bought it off a young lad local to me who bought it for a road trip that never happened. From what I gather he bought it off an older chap who had owned it for the last 5 years..? The car is a mess inside, though. Filler and wood everywhere. Not sure what I going to do with it yet as running one 800 from september will be difficult, let alone two.

Still, I have saved it from the scrap man...for now anyway!

I`m with you on the v6 auto, saloon or coupe(both have their merits) and the prestige alloys too(although vitesse do look more sporty)

Just the colour isn`t for me, doesnt stand out and reminds me of the bad faded metallics of the 80`s...

As a more mature Rover owner, I must agree with Lord Sterling of Good Tasteshire. Except I would go for the Coupe version - as I did (twice) from new in 1992 and 1993.

And this isn't just my half hearted opinion. Just me being bloody right. If Jesus drove a car, he'd have a gold 800. Rock on.

To be honest I think the colour is the last thing to worry about with this car - I'd consider the rust, dents, broken trim, bodged expansion tank, broken door handle, plus even more besides, to be 'terrible'.

V ??? XOG - In Shifnal, Telford. A Mk2 Rover 820 Vitesse saloon, Metallic Red. Very well looked after example driven by an older gentleman heading towards Telford.

White Mk2 Sterling saloon Late July/Early August heading North on the M6 towards Birmingham. Looked like an early 91-94 model, seemed loaded up with stuff in the back. Driven by a gentleman with dark hair (remember, I was on the other side of the motorway, 6 lanes away from this other car heading in the opposite direction)

Mk2 Rover 800 saloon Dark Blue? Sometime in late August very early September, I was parked up on a bridge over the M42/M40 listening to a show on Radio 4 when I caught a glimpse of this car heading South near Warwickshire.

BELGIUM - Yeah, amazingly I saw one there are managed to miss it. It was a 1990-ish Mk1 Fastback in Silver on Boulevard Louis Schmidt heading towards Boulevard General Jacques. I spent the rest of the time in a sulk having missed it.

Brad told me about a Black Mk1 Fastback that seems to be doing the rounds somewhere not too far from Worcestershire.
