gave it a quick look. No Tax since 2007

i was in croydon last week followed a mk1 sterling in green h plate old boy driving it going to the shops i guess.

NO WAI! This has been spotted before. I found this picture on another site some time ago, possibly last year..........

This car needs to be saved to see the road again.

That does look a nice Mk1. Although unused it looks like it is being kept clean and tidy. Certainly does not look "left".

Car has 2 flat tyres, and the house itself looks a little 'unkempt' too IMO. Especially considering the area.....

Yes, thats what I was referring to. The pic I posted up of the car had been spotted by someone else on another site, I recognised the plate and looked for picture to show you it had already been spotted by somone else. The same poster had also spotted some other Sterlings and an D-plate 825 which I'll post up later in my thread.

I wonder if the owner is willing to sell, if not the car really needs to be rolled into that rather large looking garage.

Didn't make it yesterday, but popped round this afternoon. It is owned by a Lass from Yorkshire, although no accent, who hasn't driven it since her Husband died not too long ago. She has also had both hips joints replaced, but is still fairly bright despite being the wrong side of 80. Hence the bungalow needing a lick of paint. I think the loss of her Husband is still weighing on her so I didn't push anything too much. But she was glad to chat and said that she was always the driver as her Husband didn't drive at. He was in the RAF in 313 Sqn I think and his Brother was a Wing Commander. They were in the Motor Trade in some context and was with Honda as they visited Japan and saw the Legend being built as well as another production line, but she could not remember the 'new' car's name. The Sterling has been her's for a long time and I think it has been looked after. I had a quick scan round it, no dash lift, very tidy interior, and just a spot of rust on both rear arches. She will give me first refusal if she decides to sell and invited me round next week for a cuppa. I think she is lonely. Anyway, a couple of snaps:

She showed me the contents of her garage. Apart from cupboards, carpet and a central hoover system there is a very clean E reg Morris Minor, which was her Sister-in-Law's. I'll try and get some pics of it when I return for me cup of tea.

Wow! Thats really great! Despite its forlorn appearence it does look like it might still see the road again one day, good luck and good on you!

Almost looks like it doesn't have a sunroof from some of those pics.

Pretty sure you can that it has from the inside though?
