Guys

Have been on holiday in the motorhome for the last week. When we arrived at the campsite, we were put next to an old Sprite Major caravan. A little while later, the occupants arrived back in their towcar:

Its a Sterling saloon. M reg with the quietest 2.7 I have EVER heard. In good overall condition, apart from the chrome grille which was so rusty it appeared to be furry.....

Never got chance to speak to the guy as they left shortly afterwards (And he seemed to be a right misery anyway!!)

Sprite Major - now that takes me back to my early teens. We had a Major and before that a Musketeer. If I remember correctly, the Major was the more "upmarket" version of the Musketeer with one of the chief distinguishing features being the addition of a skylight on the sloping part at the front of the roof.

Posh! My parents had a Sprite Alpine in the '70s-I can still remember it clearly. This Major did have a skylight-I looked!

Long time since i have seen a Sprite Major.
I remember them well . My grandad bought a new one. He used to have a nice Cheltnham but got the Sprite as it was biigger.We had a Welton with hghly polished wood a sharp contrast. At the time the Sprite seemed very modern with its seperate washroom with vanity unit as i recall. Happy days.

Not as far back as you lot but Sprite's were seen as the Skoda of caravans of the time.

My dad always had Elddis and Buccaneer caravans though not in the 70s.

Fond memories of the 2x Elddis my Uncle had in the late 80s / early 90s of him and my aunt taking me on holiday in his Toyota Tercel Estate and then MK2 Cavalier with an Elddis on tow

Fond memories indeed. The seat patterns never seemed to change...... lol
