Richard Moss's Feedback Thread

Post by Lord Sterling » Sun Mar 28, 2010 2:01 am

Had some items off Richard including a set of alloys, and much help with my cars. Richard Moss is the top man, kind and will go out of his way to help. Richard, thanks you for all your help, giving us this great site and keeping the name of the Rover 800 alive!

Seeing as you are off for a new job abroad, I'd like to wish you good luck and prosperity for your job in the future, I hope it all works out for you.

Good luck and thanks for everything.

I second Lord Sterling's comment. Best of luck with your new job.
I would also like to thank you for bringing us all together as you have and in doing so raised the profile of the 800 through this website. We have never met and yet when recently i pondered buying a car which had an LPG conversion which i was not convinced i wanted one with LPG your forum gave me the advice i needed .Your personal offer to come and remove the LPG kit for me if so desired i found most generous in deed.So thank you for your kind offer and for all advice given to date on various subjects to do with the 800. I know you have not gone and will still be around i just wanted to express my best wishes to you and your family.

It'd take all day to list the stuff that's passed between myself and Rich in the last few years.

I go so far as to say he's almost as nice a bloke as me. :P

As above - had the Mk1 wheels that are on my MK2 from Rich, and a few other things including front bumper black bib now on my red Mk1.

Pleasure to deal with, makes a good cup of tea (on both occasions!), and lots of pleasant jawing re flying and R800's.

Good luck out East, if you are flying out of or into London with awkward dept/arrival times there is a bed here in Finchley if you need it.

Cheers
Mark

Master Moss helped me out when I first got the Vitesse, with a pair of boot struts to replace my lacklustre ones.

Very helpful chap, and perfectly reasonable!

Look forward to catching up with you again at the second Cornwall meet Richard!

God, where would I start?

If these 'feedback threads' are intended for feedback in the eBay sense, ie buying from and selling to, then I don't think I can comment. I don't think I've ever had a transaction with Richard.

You couldn't put a price on the information, advice and general help I've had from him, though. I bet anyone who's ever visited this site would tell you the same.

His work on this site has been tireless. His dedication is way, way above and beyond what anyone would reasonably expect.

And he's obviously a brilliant mechanic. Probably the best I've never met!

I'm wishing him all the very best in his new venture overseas, too.

You'll be missed, sir.

I just hope that the wonder of the interweb will ensure that you'll still be present here, if not....er...here. If you know what I mean.

A massive thanks to Richard for allowing me the chance to own his Sterling. It was lovely to meet you Rich and the family and in laws. Top fella. What a bargain. I still think Phillipa should check his head for bumps  I feel like the bloke in the recent Burger King ads. :D
