Because SAAB is an interesting company with an interesting history of producing generally interesting cars.
Out in the desert with a 1998 Grand Cherokee V8, 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4L and a 1997 Chevy Tahoe V8. Back home: 1969 MGC GT

Nice to see SAAB manufacturing cars again. I have previously owned a SAAB and loved every minute of it. Comfortable ride, quality build, nice spacious cabin and layout and 5 years trouble free motoring. one of the few cars i have driven non stop for 5+ hours without any signs of fatigue or back ache at the end of the journey.

Never been keen on them...

Having said that, i was never keen on Volvo till someone gave me one for free when i had no other wheels
It`s a bit of a wreck(badly treated, smells of dog and damp) but it has 210K miles on it (petrol not desiel) and is still as reliable as ever

I`m not saying i would rush out and buy another but i certainly wouldn`t rule it out

Lovely cars. I've owned two 9000s. Both bought for peanuts and lasted a good while before becoming uneconomic to repair. The cabin is a lovely place to be and that unmistakable engine whirr just exudes quality. Almost had a 3.0 Griffin in my grasp too.

Would I have another? Like a shot BUT I think they took a major downturn when they fell into GM's hands when the 9-3 and 9-5 basically became pricey Vauxhalls :( Others thought so too and thats what caused the roof to fall in.
