Someone once asked...

How old I am.
Well I'm 23 now, born July '92.
As for how long I've been "driving" 800's - that's a different story!
It was the day after my 17th birthday that TheOldMan took me for my first lesson on a quiet industrial estate in NOJ his 820 Sterling
But Waaaay back in what looks like 1998/9 I was behind the wheel of an 800 "Granny Grazing"
My brothers were old enough to reach the pedals - I wasn't
According to TheOldMan I was 18 HOURS old when I was first in that 800 - He picked up Mom and I from Hospital in it.
J686 RFX was the registration number. VERY early Mk2 1991 820i Manual saloon in Midnight Blue.
The joke was SUPPOSED to be that I learned to drive in the same car that picked me up from Hospital in. Unfortunately due to a long and windy set of circumstances that didn't happen. Though TheOldMan did say that he would have gone far beyond economical repair to keep that car on the road.
Hope this gave you a smile!
