Hmmm SD1's :) I have had 7 of them... Though I dont miss the two V8's at all..! In fact I hated them. Though I will always have Very Happy memories of my 2600 VDP auto "Blu-Belle" Very sadly missed indeed. :)

Keep an eye out for rust on the rear trailing arm mounts. :wink:

I learnt to weld on an SD1 :wink: All 7 of them :lol:

The engine is a 3.9 ltr as stated, but is not fuel injected, was left it on carbs so as to make it look 'original' !!!!!
Did have a holley 2 barrel on it for a short while, but it was put back to Stromberg carbs again. Think they came from a late model landie?

3.9 with carbs should give pretty good power and fuel economy.. For a V8. :)

I have had 7 SD1's in total... Most I had in one go was 4 :)

I've tried it several times - I'm a huge SD1 fan, my very earliest memory is my dad's old 3500VP S2 auto in Moonraker with Bounty Blue Hairline Velvet. The one I've left in the quote is as good as you're gonna get - the SD1 glasshouse won't 'do' Coupe that well...

Lovely SD1 Graeme any chance of more pictures?

I love the shape of them but unfortunatley never got to drive one in anger as they were phased out before I got my class one ticket.

I will as soon as i get the car!!!!!
It has had some bad luck since they put the 3.9 in .......mechanic had issues with the Holley carb. There were issues with overheating.....long long story cut short...the original owner had had a new core put in......mechanic found out after car overheated twice, that it was the wrong radiator...even for a 3.5. This explains a few comments about overheating by the original owner. The car also sat for 6 years after she passed away! Car is going back to mechanic to have engine rebuilt, again! My friend who I am buying this off has had enough of it, and once it is all fixed it comes to me.
I have been for a two rides in this car, when it was actually going!! It drives absolutely superb and has more pull than a 16 year old schoolboy!!!
The original owners, husband and wife had a matching pair of these cars, this is her one. Do not know what happened to the husbands car unfortunately.
