Hull Classic car show 10 - 11 August

Hi,

Not been on here for a while and my tickford is off the road at mo for an engine rebuild - I will have to post some pics.

Anyway, there is a new show just outside Hull at Humber Bridge country park, HU13 OLN on taking place 10 -11th August and the person organising the show wants a display of rover 800's

I'm taking my dads '99 Vitesse and he is taking his MG ZT 260.

entry to the show is £3 adults, £1 children - but you get in free if you show your car, some info can be found at www.humberclassicmotorshow.com

The organiser is Simon Weakley and he can be contacted on 01482 464954 or simon@ovmarketing.org if you want to show your car.

Yes Kate, will be there subject to weather Sunday morning, don't think you need to prebook.

Looks Like I will be taking the rover on at least Sunday and possibly Saturday as well.

Been trying to get it looking good this week - only problem so far is a bad scratch on the rear 1/4 that's down to the primer.

I spoke to Simon tonight and there is no need to book to show your car.

Kate - if you are going will you be bringing the club banner? I know he wants clubs to bring them.

Yes I am hoping to go and will bring the banner,flyers,stickers etc but, like Gary, it depends on the weather.
The rain is literaly bouncing off the windows here at the moment

Weather is good here - forcast looks good for weekend - no rain (except possible shower around 2pm Saturday) and 18 -19 Degrees

Forecast looking good tomorrow.
Sterling now wears another coat of maquires wax polish and is loaded up with club gazebo,banner,parasol,leaflets,stickers and chairs.

Its about 180 miles to the venue and I couldn't think of a nicer way to travel than in the cossetted cabin of a Rover Sterling

Good luck with your journey to the show and safe return. I would like to have gone to this but duty calls so will try and make next year.

Me and Chris (wife) will be there, weather looking good, aiming for 10ish, lots to see and do apparently after the cars been cleaned up.
