Anyone know what, if anything, is happening with the BL/BMC Rally this year?
Cheers,
Dave

Yes
It is going ahead this year, the first Sunday in August.
I've spoken to Sara and we have a plot. Hopefully as its our 30th she is going to try and put us mor more "in" with the other clubs rather than on the perimeter.
As always she is looking for volunteers to assist with a little bit of marshelling on the day. Its good fun, you get to wear a yellow bib and tell people where to go, which if its the 75's to the far end of the field hahahah (only joking)

A good turn out is none negotiable.
More updates as and when I recieve them.
I hope everyone is okay

We do indeed Shaun - here's the link :

If like me you don't have the latest software and/or printer to be able to print the entry form off, i'm pretty sure handwriting the details onto a piece of paper will suffice again this year, it has for the past few years for me anyway!
Cheers,
Dave

Hi everyone,

I've been missing this one constantly, but I'm going to make it this year!

I had a look at the webpage for it, and couldn't see any info regarding timings for the day, does anyone have any further info?

Also, is anyone thinking of camping over?

Kate and Suzy normally camp overnight if they are stewarding but haven't heard if they are this year, they are usually the only ones, myself and Mrs V usually like the comfort of a nearby hotel, timing I think is usually cars in place by 10am and usually wraps up around 4pm after the priizes and raffle, this is from memory and I'm welcome to be corrected.

It is on the website but is small, hidden amongst other ramblings and very easily missed but it is 10-4 as Gaz says.

As for Kate and Suzy being stewards, further up this thread (somewhere!) Kate says she's going and past experience suggests they will be stewards again.

Maybe this year we'll get 30 800s on the stand - one to mark each year since the 800 was launched! :D
Cheers,
Dave

I can't speak for anyone else but i'm not - barely worth it when it's only about an hour/hour and a half to Ferry Meadows. ;) :D

Hi everyone.
Once more the BMC rally looms upon us.
I'm a bit up in the air at the moment as to wether I will be there as our shift pattern has changed. On the old shift pattern I was due to be off so didn't bother to book it but when the new pattern came in I was shown working nights. Which is pants.
My initial leave appliction was bounced due to the time off year and everyone wanting time off but I'm hoping nearer the time I may have the leave granted but it will be last minute as to wether I will be there or not.
I'm being optimistic that I will be there and have spent the last couple of days running around getting the D plate Si and Police car prepped and MOT'd (they both passed Huzzah) and will get everything ready as if I'm going but if I can't get the time off then ...... :(

We have a stand booked which I've organised with Sara so I may need other members to step up to the mark and meet and greet on the day.
If we can make it , we will be arriving in Peterborough on Saturday morning to help set up and then camping overnight.
I will be really disappointed if we can't come as its my favourite show and we've been there every year now since 2010. Especially as its our 30th Anniversary.
Hope to see you there and lets see if we can get 30 cars on the stand.

I'm coming to this one! I'll be in my 820Si.

I'm running around emailing the organisers last minute as I have acquired (as of today) a trailer + fastback full of Rover 800 spares to share with you all.

See you there!
