Forum Change

Post by guru » Thu Sep 03, 2015 8:06 pm

As many of you know this forum is hosted by my company 'Technology Systems' for free as it has been for many years now however unfortunately I've had some issues with the other director of that company so tonight in a move that's even shocked me I have resigned my directorship. The good news is that I just happen to have another business (http://norfolkcounty.co.uk) which despite being property development / investment has in the last hour gained an IT wing and it is now hosting rover800.info! I've had to move the forum to a completely new hosting platform tonight which has now been done and I'm glad to say everything seems to be OK in our new home. Some people may have occasional problems accessing the forum over the next day as the DNS updates around the interweb however after this we should be back to normal.

Apologies to the admin / mod team for not giving a heads up but this has been a situation that has developed pretty quickly.

Wow! Does this mean notifications will begin to work again?

Thanks for migrating the forum over James and for the FOC hosting - very much appreciated!
Cheers,
Dave

Notifications are not working at the moment however it will be a little easier to diagnose on this new platform. I've also got a minor update to the board to do however that will have to wait until the weekend.

That will be useful to have the notifications working again - i fear a lot of people have "lost interest" a bit because of the lack of them. Good luck getting them fixed!

Just noticed your signature as well - those Jeeps get everywhere don't they!
Cheers,
Dave

Oops, I hadn't realised how out of date my signature was! I've updated it now, I don't have the Jeep any more however it's still in the family as my brother has it and it's still going very well.

Great join date too. Predating the web by about 5 years!

As a relatively recent member, I'd like to add my thanks for your support and hosting of this great site.

Thank you indeed for hosting the Forum in the first place and then taking the trouble to keep it running when you have so much on your plate.

Hope everything works out well for you in the long term.
