Changes to the site

Post by guru » Thu Jul 06, 2017 12:44 am

You've probably noticed the new look to the site......this is only temporary whilst I'm upgrading the forum software. It should be back to normal in a few days.

Nice and clean though I prefer ID's being on the left of the page personally.

Nice, I am viewing on mobile. I would prefer a banner image at the top.

What Chris said ^^^^^ it's a natural thing to read from left to right and we (usually) only need to read the posters ID once but with it on the right the first line is read before we know who is saying it.

Other than that i prefer the "cleaner" appearance of this, the green works well! :D
Cheers,
Dave

I'll install a few more styles onto the site and have a play over the weekend.

Go to the top left of the page and there's 3 horizontal lines close together with "Quick Links" next to them. Click that and it gives a drop-down menu of the New, Unread and Unanswered Posts and a couple of other things.

I have to confess though, i prefer the dedicated buttons for them as we had on the older layout. :D
Cheers,
Dave
