I've spent the evening having a fiddle about with the front page for the site - it's not much as I'm learning as I go along, and I didn't want to mess it up too badly!

I've changed the fonts and background to make it a bit easier on the eye (in my opinion) and added a couple of extra links (buyers guide and garage).

More to come some other time - in the meantime, have a look at what I've done and let me know what you think.

I'll probably put mine up in place of (or in addition to) the others. I'll also look at having a "gallery" section showing pictures of the various models and engines When I work out how to do it!

Can put as many pictures as you like on main page, if you don't mind waiting three days for it to load.

Balances out the mk1 and 2's, its just a suggestion

Msy I make a suggestion re. the wording on the front page?

It currently reads:

More content will be added over time, but in the meantime you can use the links on the left to join our free forum, view the Wikipedia history page for the 800, check out photos of members car photos or take advantage of our buyers guide

May I suggest something like:

This site is the resource for all Rover 800 owners, with invaluable technical and historical information about these fine cars and a garage section showcasing our members' own cars. Please click on the growing number of links to the left.

We also have a very active and friendly forum where many common issues and upgrades for Rover 800's are discussed and worked through by our knowledgeable and hands-on members. Click here to enter!

Just suggesting it to be a bit more salesy and to add emphasis to the forum which I think is the site's "USP"...

My suggested wording is longer (and could undoubtedly be "polished"), but taking the text out of "bold" may mean it doesn't take much extra space.
