Back from the BL day-had a great weekend. 800 wise, we saw:

Our Oxford Blue fastback 820SI
Oxford Blue Sterling fastback on an N plate

BRG Sterling KV6 fastback on a V
Charcoal KV6 Coupe
Nightfire 827 Sterling
Nightfire Coupe
MK1 Vitesse 827 in white

Question is, why don't we have a stand at this event next year? Who might be interested? It's on Sunday 7th August 2011 and as you know, camping is allowed the night before. I'm happy to organise if we get enough interest?

The stand was listed on the showguide and there was a big space !

Sorry I did'nt get a chance to pop over for a chat John.

We were pitched so close to you (Trailer tent with the Black and white MG Maestro's), but the little-un was'nt too good so we had our hands full.

Got to agreee it was a great weekend, but surprised those from Ar online did'nt join us on the Austin Rover stand.

We could have made quite a display.

Maybe next year?

No probs Mal-we were pretty busy too-I did think it might be you across from us.
I really do think that an 800 presence must be possible next year though, given the amount of 75s and SD1s there-as I said, the ones I saw would have made up a very nice stand on their own.

To clarify a few things

AR Online did not get told they had a stand, if you read the thread over there you will see Keith tried to get one but he was told that they were all gone.

It was suggested by Alex (3-litre) to park in the non booked area which is what Zeuss and I did with his P6 and my Rover 100.

It seems to me that there is a big communication issue with this particular rally, Zeuss and I were shocked at how quickly we got in compared with people who had pre-booked, a pre-booked 75 that joined the queue at the same time as us only just got into the ground 25 minutes later, I also cannot understand why there is such a huge gap between the stands and the autojumble??

"IF" there is an AR-Online stand Marked out, I will put both our MG Maestro's on it on the Saturday.

Then any one else who is coming will see them and will know where to park.

Ours are a White J plate MG Maestro and a Black G plate MG Maestro.

As it turned out they had a stand marked out under the old name, so I plonked my arse (and my cars) on it in the hope that others who declared there attendance would either read the site plan or spot my cars and follow suit.
