BMC/BL Day, Peterborough 2012 Sunday 5th August

We will be camping the night before at the show ground. (Green 130 Defender)

I have spoken with Sara (she called about my tickets), and as long as there is sufficient room on the stand I will pitch the trailer tent on it, so that it can be "HQ" for the forum members who attend.

We will have the usual cooking and brewing facilities, but volunteers for refilling water supplys will be needed.

So if your coming to the show on sunday, throw a water carrier in the boot, and fill up(at home) or at the gate when you arrive to ensure adequate supplys for brews etc. (as well as donations to brew kit BBQ etc)

(I hope I don't have enough for all, which will mean a full stand! )

Barring fire, flood, death or any similar natural disaster, i'll be there on the sunday too.

Will be bringing another stove, kettle, tea, coffee, milk and sugar, chair or 2, hopefully a bit of food and maybe my girlfriend too.

Looking forward to being there now i have my pass!

i will be there in the 800 i think.. it appears to be running ok so will chance it. can bring a stove if needed and i have a 3m square gazebo if needed.. shoudl all fit into the sterling nicely... regards ricky

On another subject, i have an 800 15" steel wheel with 195/65 VR15 tyre (just legal) and a "space-saver" steel wheel for a 25/45/200/400 series with a bit of tread left - if anyone wants them FOC and will be at the show/rally, let me know by saturday and i'll bring them along. Will also do a "proper" post in the For Sale section.

Its all coming together nicely.
Ricky do you want to bring your gazebo in case Mal can't pitch his trailer tent on the stand.

Good response re kettles and tea supplies.(but wouldn,t expect anything less at a BRITISH car show).
I will bring water supplies,mugs, food etc but will be leaving my kettle/stove/gazebo at home.
Did we have any joy re additional banners,flags etc?

The area for the stand last year was quite large and we had plenty of spare space so hopefully we can fill it with cars.
I will also be bringing the last of the Rover 800 club stickers up. Show discount £2.50 each (were £3.25 each).

Vard has arrived, so re-loading Landy should'nt take too long.

Due to having little -one with us, we will likely have to leave around 2pm Sunday so that he is'nt up too late, so a secondary gazeebo at the opposite end to our trailer would work well for those staying longer.

Have my Rover Flag, Union Flag, and Union Flag bunting. Rover flag will return home with me, but if you would like to hold onto the rest Kate for future shows, then thats fine with me.
I will also pack a few extra camping chairs for those who may "Forget" they're own.

Doubt i'll be that early Kate - planning to leave home about 8am so should be there between 9-10am, depending on traffic and a couple of other things.

There is a "test pic" on there just to make sure i had the settings right on my phone. I'll try my best to get about and get as many pics as poss, they'll be uploaded as i take them so will be a near-live feed.
