My premium last renewal was £164 fully comp with no claims, windscreen cover and thats about it.

I expect it to be even cheaper next year.

I have AA breakdown which covers any vehicle you're in as you all probably know.

They asked if they could sign up and post on the forum and Richard agreed. Perhaps it might benefit some of the younger people on here?

As Simon said, they asked if they could and as a) it does us no harm and b) someone might benefit from them I said yes.

As said earlier, we as a "club" don't endorse any particular scheme or any particular insurance company.

Prestige Keep Moving Car Insurance Scheme

Quotes were up, sales were up, conversion rates were up & the renewal retention percentage was up with the March figures for the whole scheme based on the previous month! So onwards & upwards!

Here is some of that month’s feedback from the first week alone -

- Just renewed my policy with your company. Prestige was £102 cheaper than my previous insurer and the excess was £250 cheaper. Spoke with Dave and Sharif, thanks lads. Gary75

It would be nice if he had read the previous comments by members before posting more of the same.

Hey Tim! How about a sample quote for an 800? How about a quote for a 40 year old male on an L reg Vitesse saloon living in a city centre. Can you explain your £300 minimum premium? Will you insure and pay out on an 800 valued by its owner at a rate higher than "market" value? For instance, I place a value of around £2000 on my car, but book is more like £500.

I'd like to know your answers, but I wont be calling you in office hours when I can get easy quotes online for under £200 in my leisure time.

I hear what you are saying but why would he read any of this stuff about 800's.

He's not interested, its just business and thats what annoys me about it.

I click on the view new posts and its in the list.

Its going to be regular thing, periodically pasting the same shit with the same bullshit happy customers.

What a swell guy.

Why not just ignore it if its not for you.

There may be some forum members who HAVE benefited from this scheme that haven't posted as such.

It's the difference say for example between tv channels with adverts and tv channels with none.

I don't think anyone has accused Richard from profiting from this thread.

We don't get paid - all costs for running the forum are cover by me (domain name fee) or James King (guru) who gives up his time and server space/bandwidth. Prestige are allowed to advertise because they are one of only two companies who have ever asked permission and both were given a "yes" for their courtesy.

- I've just switched to Prestige Keep Moving after a very decent quote and some star service from one of their Sales Advisors (Paulius). Rather than run up a phone bill, I volunteered to send through a list of all mods so they could be OK'd by the underwriters. Paul turned this around within a few hours via a quick email exchange, and he was also kind enough to confirm a couple of additional policy details that I wanted more info on. Its good to have all that confirmed in writing. Great service guys. Insuring an imported and modified '2 in a Manchester postcode is usually a recipe for trauma. You've made it sensibly straightforward. One thing that really appeals to me is that they don't draw a sharp breath when you mention Mods and they don't use them as a lever to inflate the quote beyond sensible. Intentionally or not, they seem to treat Club members as enthusiastic owners who are naturally very precious about their cars. Nice to know we have a broker out there who acknowledges the enthusiast and doesn't run a mile at the hint of a modification. Ste ‘Spit’, MR2 Roadster Owners Club.
