MoT pass today.

Post by zcar12 » Wed Jan 11, 2017 2:24 pm

Passed my MoT test today. No advisories on a 25 year old car I call a great result. I have worked hard this year to catch up on all my deferred maintenance jobs and it appears to have paid off. I got the garage to fit a new front pipe which I supplied plus gaskets, as the old pipe was welded to pass the test last year. They say that as the pipe is a pattern part, I may notice some resonance at certain revs but this may improve with age. Have not noticed any resonance so far.

They found one of the seat bolts to be a bit loose. I must have forgotten to tighten it up when I was looking for the cause of my high idle problem, which turned out to be the throttle switch.

My plan for this year is to improve the paint which involves spraying outside on windless days, I am getting better at it. Also to improve the interior trim.

I am a happy bunny
