Try confused.com, comparethemarket.com and gocompare.com - they sometimes throw up real surprises

Rias for over 50s, I've just paid £154.00 for my 825 Turbo Diesel and the wife has paid £150.00 for the 825 Sterling. The post office have a deal on at the moment, they will undercut any quote by £50.00, the only problem with the Post Office is they don't recognise my Turbo Diesel, it doesn't exist, so they can't insure it.

Regards to all

Ian

I don't think the Post Office deal is age related, you just get the lowest quote you can get from any other company and they will undercut it by fifty quid. I know fifty quid isn't much to you youngsters on massive wages, it's a big saving to us pensioners.

Funnily enough, just stopped a quote with RIAS for similar reason. They reckon my coupe must be a "2 door hatchback" as they couldn't find a 2L coupe on their database, only the V6. They also went blank when I said it's not my main vehicle and I have other insurance. As the expiry date of 'other insurance', even on a different vehicle, is in the future, they said they could only quote if I cancelled that insurance first!

I may call them back and see if I get someone over the age of 12 on the other end of the 'phone.

Would i be right in thinking if you dont use your NCD for 2 years(eg. if you got a company van for awhile) you lose it ?

I was considering starting a second NCD but this rings a bell and may be a waste later on
