Alternator
Looking for an alternator for a 99 Sterling,Part No YLE101800, or one that will fit my Sterling.

Thanks Dave - i've seen about 3 requests from him and answered them all but haven't seen the information saying it's a KV6 so guessed it was a 2.0 litre.
As it goes i've only ever had one KV6 alternator and that was sold a long time ago! I know it was an absolute pig to remove - had to take out the engine mount for access to the main pivot bolt! Makes the C27 alternator seem as if it falls out by comparison!

Its the part number Dave, It's KV6 specific. Ah i see! I think on the other requests it was just a "Marelli alternator" he asked for, fairly sure the KV6 i removed the alternator from had a Nippon Denso unit. Also the older 820s with the Lucas A127 alternator (as fitted to half the car parc in the western world) was also manufactured under licence by Magnetti Marelli and often just marked as Marelli hence me thinking it was an 820, especially as i believe some Marelli A127 units were factory fitted on 820s, presumably due to availability at the time. Maybe they were aftermarket fit as i know autoelectrical places often fit the nearest available unit if the exact match isn't available.
