Re: Set of MK1 Trickford Rocker Panels needed
Welcome aboard Jason!
Just to be clear, are you after the plastic side skirts that fit on to the lower part of the car or are you after the sills themselves? If it's the sills (or rocker panels as you call them stateside) then this thread should help :
http://www.rover800.info/forum/viewtopi ... 15&t=13279
As for a set of Tickford (only one "r" ) side skirts, you'll be very lucky to find those! They were only fitted to one model, the Mk1 820 Turbo which was commonly referred to as the Tickford and that was a "run-out" model to make way for the Mk2 when the Vitesse became powered by a 2.0 turbo.
However, you may be in luck!

There's a pair for sale there, the seller says he's not willing to post them but if they're going by air then he may be persuaded. I've always found him approachable and helpful so has to be worth a try!

Thank you Dave! Yes I need the side skirts found on the Tickford MK1 820 Turbo. I really appreciate the search and eBay link you provided. I have sent the seller a message...wish me luck.
If anyone else knows of any other sources for these side skirts please let me know.
Thank You, Jason

Good luck Jason - i hope he does agree to send them to you! If not then we may be able to do a work-around, no guarantees though!
The Tickford aka 820 Turbo was pretty rare even when new. Finding any body parts that are unique to it is going to be hard! To be honest, i'm amazed they were on ebay!

Re: Set of MK1 Trickford Rocker Panels needed
They're not Tickford skirts. They were all foam of some description. That type were usually fitted to cars with the TWR kit.
If originality isn't a problem they're far easier to work with.

Thanks Chris for replying! Do you have any available or know of another source? The gentleman selling the used pair on eBay is not open to posting them to US.

I don't, sorry.
I sold up about 6 years ago and have nothing left now.
How much are you expecting the shipping to be to get them to you?

Thanks Chris for responding! Hi Dave,
The seller is not open to shipping internationally or within UK either citing that most mainstream couriers don’t accept loads in excess of 1.5meters, and he doesn’t want to spend time packaging them for hand to hand couriers. I will continue searching for for others sources. Appreciate any help finding a good pair. Thank you, Jason

Motobuild did a copy of the TWR kit which was made of fibreglass, The Rover ones were ABS plastic and not foam and were held on by plastic clips. If you look at my car, you can get the idea of the shape so it may be possible to have some 3D printed or made by a fabricator.
