My new runabout ** NOW WITH PICS **

Post by InTheRover'Over' » Sun May 15, 2011 2:56 pm

Well i have secured my new runabout, and yes its a Rover.

Speaking to a chap about a 214 cabrio he had for sale, he mentioned he had a 1994 Metro 1.4 CD (yep its the diesel) for sale. 2 owners MINT condition just needs a clean, the arches are unblemished and original.

The best bit 13687 miles (yep thats 13K) with all the mots to prove it!

Well i have secured it for the princely sum of 450 notes and will collect it the end of the month, pics to follow once collected and cleaned.

OK its a Metro but for what i need for trogging to work and back its ideal.

Any known issues with the 1.4 PSA engines on these i need to know about, the rest of the car i know how to sort.

Looks a nice motor and well worth the price paid. Worth rustproofing too methinks and no T16 conversions please.

Anyhow, Covenant now in law apart from the housing bit, sickening really as you had mentioned the sorry state of the forces housing policy. I wonder what Will and Kate's house is like on Ynys Mon ?

that does look very tidy, and a nice colour. the engine looks like a 106 diesel engine so should be very reliable, but any diesel with 13k is not even run in yet.. regards ricky

Thats nice - you should get yourself a dash mat. The one from an 800 fits, surprisingly.
