I always liked them.
The coupe was called the Monza from what i recall?
They were very much a luxury car.
I still have a brochure from the 1978 or was it 80 Motor Show still in its polythene bag it came in.
Lovely.
A rare car today.

Thats a very nice looking car and now very rare espcially in that condition, a credit too you and always nice too see these type of cars preserved.

What a cracking example!

Not sure I like the dash flat slab dash design - I'm never a fan of those Hillman Imp style unused cutaways... suggesting something is missing from the full equipment roster.

Funnily enough, someone in my road has one of these, supposed to be a very good knick low miler example too....the owner nearly crashed it into me bombing it round the corner lol

think they are 70 section,not sure,this car was a ex company car for the first owner who purchased it from his employers,he kept 20 years and spent Â£1000's,i've got a huge history file,receipts galore,probably Â£8k anyway all main dealer,was a staff car for a while in practical classics.

If my memory is up to scratch, the Royale and Viceroy were the Vauxhall badged versions of the Opel Senator and Monza. The names were dropped after a short time.

Um ... I think I like the colour of the interior upholstery.

I had a Wolseley 1300 c. 1991 in Limeflower (and rust) wiyh a similar matching green interior (and rust - unbelievebale amount of ex-car hoovered from behind the rear seat...).

It had only done 33k but after replacing a ball joint under the front wing I noticed rust in the 'inner wing 'trumpets'.

So sold it back tot he nephew of the owner - it went to Germany.

I used to have one of those!! Nowhere near as nice though!! Mine was a 1980/V 3.0E coupe with the straight 6 fuel injected lump in it and graphite grey paintwork underneath peeling lacquer!! Had a misfire i just couldn't get rid of, unless i drove everywhere at 120mph!! It was after one of these 120mph runs that it decided to give itself a partial seizure of the engine which led to it being scrapped the next day as it wouldn't start!!
Turned out afterwards the number plate would have been worth enough to have got a re-con engine fitted and still have enough to fill the tank a few times and a good night up the pub!!
Too late for regrets now though!!

What engine is it in it? 3.0 like in the Monza?

Appears to be very economical? 955 MPG.
